FOUNDATION B YOGA CLASS: FREE to NEW STUDENTS

A “new” student is anyone who has never attended a class at the Atma Center or who has not attended a class within the past 6 months.

Expanding on the Pawanmuktasana series introduced in Foundation A, this level introduces classical postures such as triangle, cobra, half camel, and a modified version of Sun Salutation. Hip flexibility, core strength and upper body strength are further developed, preparing students to practice more rigorous asanas safely. The progression of pranayama continues with an introduction to balancing and tranquilizing breathing practices. Satyananda Yoga Nidra(R) or a sitting meditation is a part of every class.
For those with some yoga experience in asana (poses) or for those who are physically fit.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early, as space is limited and latecomers may not be admitted.
