Free to NEW Students: Foundation B Yoga

FREE TO NEW STUDENTS (Those who have never to been to Atma Center before, or have not attended class for 6 months or longer).

This class increases core strength and flexibility through an exploration of classic postures such as triangle, half camel and the poses of Sun Salutation. Breathing practices and meditations increase lung capacity and relieve stress..

Expanding on the Pawanmuktasana series introduced in Foundation A, this level develops hip flexibility, core strength and upper body strength, preparing students to practice more rigorous asanas safetly. The progression of pranayama continues with an introduction to balancing and tranquilizing breathing practices. Satyananda Yoga Nidra® or a sitting meditation is a part of every class. Some yoga experience in asana (poses) is recommended or a good level of physical fitness.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early.  Class size is limited and latecomers may not be admitted.
