Ganesh Yantra with Omkar (Olga Chwa)

Create a Ganesh Yantra on Ganesh Chaturthi!   Join us to create a YANTRA, a powerful, ancient symbol on this auspicious day commemorating Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. (In yoga, we do not worship these Hindu gods, but we do celebrate the symbolism which they represent.)

We will use colorful beans, lentils, peas and rice and work together to create this balanced, mathematical image. The process is a form of meditation and mindfulness, done while chanting and focusing on the qualities of Ganesha's symbolism: wisdom, prosperity and good fortune.

Once the design is complete, we "liberate" the yantra. Participants are welcome to take home a baggie of the beans and lentils to make a mantra and yantra-charged soup!
