Mad, Bad & Dangerous to Know - Staged Reading @ Big Dog (Centrum theater) on Coventry

Local playwrights Jim and Bronwyn Jameson (Jameson Plays and Productions - photos below) will launch a staged reading series of their own plays called The Serious Side of Comedy this October at Big Dog Theater in the Coventry Arts District.  The first reading will feature their newest comedy/drama entitled Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know – a play that covers the first blush of fame for English bard Lord Byron, often referred to as the first modern celebrity.   The audience will be treated to an inside glimpse of Byron’s relationships with various lovers.  This show is not recommended for children.

This play placed in the top five among hundreds submitted to the 2011 Beverly Hills Theatre Guild’s annual contest; it is currently being considered by producers in London who have called this play “scrupulously researched “ and one
that exhibits “palpable language rife with juicy details.”  Tickets are $5 (cash only) at the door.  Alcohol is available at a bar on the same floor and drinks may be brought into the theater.  Performances of Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know will be held every Wednesday and Thursday in October at 8:00 p.m.   The two hour show will include an act break.  There is no reserve seating and the space is not handicap accessible.  Please come early for the best seats in a spacious, delightful theater.
