Fire At East Cleveland Apartments, 4 Injured

The overnight blaze raged for hours, as crews from Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, and University Heights helped contain the flames.

EAST CLEVELAND, OH β€” An apartment complex fire in East Cleveland sent four people to the hospital, according to reports.

The complex is at the intersection of Superior Avenue and Carlyon Road. The fire started at approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday night. The flames were not extinguished until 1 a.m. on Wednesday. Crews from Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, and University Heights all helped contain the blaze.

Three adults and one child were taken to a local hospital, according to Fox 8. Their names and conditions have not yet been released.

Firefighters told Fox 8 they had poor water pressure while trying to contain the fire. The news station reported that the flames started in a back room of the apartment complex, and were springing through the roof when firefighters arrived.
