Food Bank Expanding Presence In Cleveland Heights
A School Market program will now be held at Gearity Professional Development School.
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Cleveland Food Bank is expanding its School Market Program in Cleveland Heights. Gearity Professional Development School will now offer fruits, vegetables and select pantry items on the second Thursday of every month.
The School Market Program already visits Oxford and Boulevard elementary schools, the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District confirmed. The Gearity site opened on March 14.
The Food Market will be held outside on the school grounds, unless there is inclement weather. If things get rainy (or snowy, you know Ohio weather), the market will move into the Gearity gym.

"The program has been wildly successful at both Oxford and Boulevard schools, improving students’ access to the healthiest foods and exposing them and their families to delicious recipes using produce they might not otherwise eat," the district said in a post on its website.
