Forest City Tree Protection Earns Esteemed 2014 Angie's List Super Service Award

Award reflects company's consistently high level of customer service.

Forest City Tree Protection Co has earned the service industry’s coveted Angie’s List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of the local services marketplace and consumer review site in 2014.

Cleveland’s Tree Doctors, the Forest City Tree Protection Co has been preserving the ‘forest’ in the ‘Forest City’ since 1910. Founded by W. P. Lanphear, Jr, the company is now headed by his grandson, Lauren S. Lanphear.

After nearly 100 years at their South Euclid location, the company moved into new facilities in Mayfield Village this past September. Impressively, the firm maintained a superior level of customer service during such a hectic period.

“Only about 5 percent of the tree service companies in Northeast Ohio have performed so consistently well enough to earn our Super Service Award,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “It’s a really high standard.”

Angie’s List Super Service Award 2014 winners have met strict eligibility requirements, which include an “A” rating in overall grade, recent grade, and review period grade; the company must be in good standing with Angie’s List, pass a background check and abide by Angie’s List operational guidelines.

Service company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality. Members can find the 2014 Super Service Certification logo next to company names in search results on AngiesList.com.

Forest City Tree Protection served as the City Forester for the City of Cleveland Heights from 1914 until 1968 when the city created its own Forestry Department.

The company has been recognized by the Tree Care Industry Association with four Excellence in Arboriculture Awards. Lanphear is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment Qualified.
