The Roxboro and Monticello middle schools will be combining, starting in the 2017-2018 school year. The two schools will move onto the Wiley campus, forming the Heights Middle School. The district has said the two schools will both technically remain two schools, and functionally operate as one school.

The reason for the confusion lies with the Ohio Department of Education (ODE). The ODE recommended the CH-UH School District maintain two middle schools — on paper — for reporting purposes. However, Roxboro and Monticello will share the Wiley campus and students will share some classes.

The Roxboro and Monticello school buildings will undergo repairs during the 2017-2018 school year.
