Get To Know Euclid Creek During Event

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Spending time in nature is proven to have myriad health benefits. That's partly why, on July 15, the Cleveland Metroparks will give a guided tour of Euclid Creek. The event will included guided tours, lunch, and a celebration of the waterway.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is called "A Day in the Life Of Euclid Creek 2017." Attendees will be able to learn about the various lifeforms that call the creek home, including aquatic invertebrates and fish.

Attendees will also learn about water quality and restoration efforts along the creek. The event is part of a partnership between the park system, the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, and Friends of Euclid Creek.

• 9 – 10 a.m. @ Acacia Reservation
  • Water Quality Quest kick-off
  • Water testing demo and activities
  • Behind-the-scenes restoration hike
• 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. @ Highland Heights Community Park
  • Aquatic invertebrate sampling
  • Dusty Goldenrod Preserve and plant ID hike
• 12:30 – 1:15 p.m. @ Wildwood Park, Euclid Creek Reservation
  • Fish sampling and activities
  • Wetland restoration tour
• 1:15 - 2:30 p.m. @ Wildwood Park, Euclid Creek Reservation
  • Let’s gather to celebrate Euclid Creek with: lunch, ice cream, music, giveaways and exhibitors, games, and information on ways to improve Euclid Creek.
