Heights High Offering Free Self-Defense Class for Female Students

Classes will start Nov. 30.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH - Heights High is offering a free Martial Arts Self Defense Class for female students every other Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in room A110. The first class will be held Nov. 30.

The lessons in self-defense will include understanding movement, physical and verbal de-escalation, and conflict avoidance. The class will feature hands-on activities, theory discussions, and more. Classes will be taught by certified instructors who are part of the 3N Martial Arts School.

Peter Whitt, Ben Hunter and Carlton Robinson are the lead instructors. They have more than 60 years of combined experience teaching martial arts.Students should wear sweat pants or leggings and a loose fitting top.The class will run through the school year.To register for the free class, students can students can sign up in the Heights High main office or contact Bryan Loretz, 216-320-2063.
