Heights High Wins Another Design Award
The multi-year renovation has already drawn praise for its engineering.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β Heights High School received Heritage Ohio's "Best Public Building Rehabilitation Award" this month. The multi-year renovation has been honored previously, when the design firm that handled the project received an Engineering Excellence Award.
This Heritage Ohio award was given to the district on October 23 at the Allen Theatre in Cleveland. Board of Education President Jim Posch and Superintendent Talisa Dixon accepted the honor.
βWinning the 'Best Public Building Rehabilitation' award is an honor for our school district and our community,β said Posch. βWe appreciate the support of FutureHeights for helping to make this happen. This honor gives me a great sense of pride for my community and all the great people who worked so hard on the project.β

Heights High underwent a multi-year renovation starting in 2015. The building, which first opened in 1926, had additions and new wings added to its original frame, while the original structure was preserved and improved. The new spaces include a natatorium, cafeteria, and media center.
