Heights Libraries Book Mobile Rolls Into Town
The book mobile will serve as a temporary home for book lovers while the University Heights branch is under construction.

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH - While the University Heights library undergoes a $5.6 million renovation, residents will not have to go far to fulfill their book needs. The Heights Libraries is rolling out a book mobile that will make regular stops in the city.
The library system has named the book mobile Nellie. Nellie is a 1995 Cummins deisel bus, fitted with bookshelves and work stations. Itβs got a wheelchair lift, and has electric power to enable a computer to check out books and perform other library functions
Nellie will make regular stops in University Heights, offering a small collection of popular books, DVDs, and CDs, and reference help.

Book Mobile Schedule:
Mondays: 1-3 p.m.
GFS Store, 13865 Cedar Rd, South Euclid

Wednesdays: 1-3 p.m.
Cedar Center Apts., 14050 Cedar Rd, University Heights
Wednesdays: 3-5 p.m. (starting next week)

The University Heights branch is expected to be closed for 14 months, re-opening in late 2017. The hard cost for this construction will be $4.2 million, according to the libraryβs website. An additional $1.4 million is being budgeted for βsoft costsβ such as furniture and fixtures, land and moving costs, permits, design fees, insurance, technology and other items.
