CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” The Heights Libraries will be resurfacing parking lots at their Lee Road and University Heights campuses next week. Each lot will be closed for 24 hours, until the surface dries.

The first lot to be closed, on September 3, will be the staff/overflow lot at the Lee Road branch. That lot is located at the corner of Lee and Corydon, next to the Shell gas station.

The second and third lots to be closed will be the University Heights branch lot and the HKIC/Dobama lot at the Lee Road branch. Both lots will be closed September 4.

The final lot to be closed will be the Lee Road branch's main lot. That lot will be closed on September 5.

Parking lot resurfacing is done every two years by the Heights Libraries, according to a system spokesperson. The last resurfacing of Heights Libraries parking lots was carried out in August 2017.

"We resurface every two years to ensure the asphalt lasts and stays in good shape, i.e. no potholes," the spokesperson said. "We make sure to rotate the work on the lots so there are always two available at Lee Road."
