Heights Middle School To Perform At Indians Game

This is the second time that Cleveland Heights-University Heights students will perform at a Cleveland Indians game.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Heights Middle School Orchestra will perform the National Anthem at the May 1 Cleveland Indians game, the school district announced. This is the second time that students from the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School district will perform for Tribe fans at Progressive Field.

The orchestra submitted an audition tape in January to the Indians, hoping to be added to the 2018 schedule. The district got notification recently that the band would be invited back to perform the National Anthem.

The May 1 game will start at 6:10 p.m. and will see the Indians square off with the Texas Rangers. The Heights Middle School Orchestra will open the second of a three-game home stand against the Rangers.
