Heights Music Hop Returns This Weekend

The free, live music fest has expanded and will take place over three days and 30 venues.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” The Heights Music Hop has expanded for 2017. Bands will play live music for three days, starting Sept. 7 and ending Sept. 9, at more than 30 venues throughout the city. The festival will rotate through three neighborhoods. Parking will be free in each neighborhood during the Music Hop.

The first neighborhood to have festival was Coventry Village on Sept. 7. The Cedar-Fairmount neighborhood will host Music Hop on Sept. 8. The festival will conclude Sept. 9 in the Cedar Lee neighborhood.

On Saturday, the Heights Music Hop will also host a silent disco. Participants will be given wireless headphones. They'll tune in to a groovy disco track and dance with others hearing the same music. Tickets for that event will be $10. (To stay up to date on local stories, subscribe to the Patch Cleveland Heights newsletter. Construction on the Cedar Fairmount Streetscape project will be continuing over the weekend. The festival asks attendees to use extra caution while driving through that neighborhood. Heavy traffic is expected throughout the festival. All businesses in the area will remain open.
