Heights Schools Name New Technology Coordinator

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH —Christina Bauer has been named the new coordinator of technology at the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools. She has two decades of experience working in the school district.

"I look forward to leading our District's efforts to foster innovative, technology-empowered learning environments," Bauer told Patch in an emailed statement.

Bauer started work in the CH-UH Schools in 1999 at Oxford Elementary. She taught Title 1 reading, kindergarten and second grade. In 2010, she began working as a program specialist for technology at Cleveland Heights High.

Since 2015, Bauer has been working at the Board of Education, serving teachers at all grade levels and students. She was responsible for technology integration, including blended and online learning.

She led the district's transition to G Suite for Education in 2016 and facilitated the addition of Chromebook carts to classrooms for grades 2-12. Bauer is a Google Certified Educator and has trained 60 teachers, helping them achieve their own Google certification.

Bauer has her Bachelor's degree in elementary education from Marietta College, a Master's degree in educational technology from Cleveland State University, an educational specialist degree in educational administration from Cleveland State University, and a Doctorate degree in School Leadership from Concordia University Chicago.
