Heights Schools Need Applicants For Facilities Commission

The commission will oversee budgets for projects in the district and keep tabs on construction.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Residents interested in getting involved with the Heights Schools should apply to become a stakeholder in the Lay Facilities Commission. The district is accepting applications for open slots until November 20.

The Lay Facilities Commission oversees construction project budgets, expenditures, schedules and district projects. Staff from the school district will meet with the commission and discuss any relevant items.

The commission will meet quarterly and provides consultation on the use of funds and development and implementation of Phase II of the Master Facilities Plan for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools.

All meetings of the Lay Facilities Commission are open to the public. After each meeting, a report on the goings-on will be submitted to the Board of Education. The Heights Superintendent, or her delegate, will lead the meetings.
