Heights Youth Theatre Continues its Celebration of Community with Godspell
Heights Youth Theatre Presents Godspell

Come sing about love, enjoy all good gifts, and learn your lessons well with the Stephen Schwartz classic Godspell opening Friday, January 20, 2017 and closing Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Cleveland Heights. Told through a variety of games, storytelling techniques, music and dance, the parables of Jesus Christ come to life in this modern take on a timeless tale of loyalty, friendship, and love. The show focuses on building communities through sharing joy, music and stories with others. Appropriate for all ages!
The show is directed by Cleveland Heights resident Eugene Sumlin, with music direction by Stacy Bolton and includes 40 actors in 5th through 12th grades. The lead cast includes Avery Pope as Jesus and Spencer Skok as John the Baptist/Judas. The stage manager for this production is Jack Ina. By attending an HYT performance, you’re supporting theatre arts in the Heights. Heights Youth Theatre (HYT) has a long rich history in the Heights and has been offering kids year-round opportunities to hone their theatrical skills and entertain audiences for 64 years.
Performances will be presented at Monticello Middle School Auditorium, 3665 Monticello Blvd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44121, Friday, January 20 & 27, 7 PM, Saturday, January 21 & 28, 2 PM, and Sunday, January 22 & 29. Tickets are $10 general admission and $9 for seniors and children under 6. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office which opens 45 minutes prior to each show.
