CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Cleveland Heights is creating historic preservation design guidelines.

"The city was recently designated a Certified Local Government (CLG) in 2019, highlighting its dedication to, and the importance of, historic preservation in the community, and this effort will ensure the city continues to cherish and preserve its storied history,” said Eric Zamft, director of planning for Cleveland Heights.

The guidelines will be a tool for homeowners, architects and designers as they navigate construction and renovation of historic houses and buildings. The guidelines will also help groups understand the role of the Landmarks Commission and Historic Preservation ordinances.
