Huntington Bank On Coventry Road Robbed

The Cleveland Heights bank was robbed by two men on Wednesday morning. Now the FBI wants help finding the men responsible.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€”Two armed men robbed the Huntington Bank on Coventry Road on Wednesday morning. One of the suspects told a customer and an employee that if they moved he would kill them.

The robbery took place at about 8:55 a.m. The men came into the bank brandishing pistols. One of the suspects pointed his gun at a bank employee and a customer and ordered them to the ground. That's when he made his threat, saying if they moved he would kill them.

The second suspect jumped the counter and emptied money from a teller's drawer, placing the cash in a white plastic garbage bag.

After getting the money, the two men ran out of the bank and jumped into a stolen silver Kia. They drove north on Coventry.

Cleveland Heights Police took a report on a car that was stolen at about 8:15 Wednesday morning. The FBI said it is likely the stolen car was the same as the getaway car used at the bank.

The first suspect was a black man, standing about 5'8. He wore a black hooded jacket, a red hoodie underneath the jacket, a blue mask, blue latex gloves, black sweat pants and black Nike sneakers.

The second suspect was also a black man, standing about 5'8. He wore a dark blue hoodie, jeans, tan work boots, blue latex gloves and a black mask.

The FBI said that both suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Reward money is available for information that leads to the successful identification and prosecution of the two suspects. Tips can be provided to the Cleveland Division of the FBI at 216-522-1400. Huntington Bank is offering an additional up to $20,000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction of these suspects.
