This is from the website of Citizens For Heights Schools, the school bond issue campaign committee's website's FAQs. This campaign committee is co-chaired by three LFC members, including the Chairperson:
What happens if this bond issue fails?
If the issue fails, it will significantly increase the time and cost to complete a comprehensive facilities plan. We will also lose the chance of securing tens of millions of dollars in funding from the State. Meanwhile, our schools will continue to deteriorate, and costs will rise.

Needed for Phase II: $81 MILLION
State Funds, 14% of $180 MILLION: $24 MILLION
Phase II Local Costs: $56 MILLION

Bond issue passes in 2014 (same MFP):
MFP: $235 MILLION.
Phase I: $110 MILLION (bond + loan + donations).
Needed for Phase II: $125 MILLION
State Funds, 14% of $180 MILLION: $24 MILLION
Phase II Local Costs: $100 MILLION
All I see is the same exact $24 MILLION. No idea how we could lose "...tens of millions of dollars in funding from the State...".
That would be at least $20 MILLION of the $24 MILLION.
Their claim is absurd, and should be removed. I pointed this out to them last week.I've made them aware of a bunch of similar, troubling items. The BOE has a bunch in their supporting literature, as well.
I'm still waiting for their responses.
