Little Italy's Feast of the Assumption 2013: Where to Park, How to Go and More

Festival is Aug. 15 to 18 at Mayfield and Murray Hill Roads

This weekend marks the 115th annual Feast of the Assumption Festival in Little Italy, just over Cleveland Heights' city line.

The festival β€” four days of carnival rides,Β food, drinks and entertainment β€”Β started Thursday with a mass and a solemn procession through the neighborhood.

It wraps up with a candlelight procession and fireworks SundayΒ evening. Click here for a full schedule.

Mayfield Road in Little ItalyΒ is closed for the duration of the festival. Admission is free, and food and carnival games costs vary.

Pay lots are available on the outskirts of theΒ neighborhood β€” a $5 lot on Overlook south of Edgehill, or an $8 lot on Euclid Avenue near 117th, for example β€” but street parking nearby is hard to come by and often metered.

The Rapid's Red LineΒ will drop visitors off at Euclid and E. 120thΒ or RTA's bus #9 runs right through Little Italy. Click here to useΒ the RTA's trip planner.
