Major Fundraiser Launched For Coventry PEACE Campus
The Coventry PEACE Campus houses several arts and civic groups.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Coventry PEACE Campus has launched its first major fundraising campaign.
The facility, which houses arts, education and community service groups, is based in the former Coventry Elementary School. Funds will go to improving the building and fulfilling a 99-year lease agreement with building owner, the Heights Libraries.
“The integration of the Library and the arts campus and the business district is unique, exciting and visionary,”said Suzanne DeGaetano, owner of Mac’s Backs Books in Coventry Village. “I think we need to all work really hard to morally and financially support the vision because it’s really what Cleveland Heights is all about.”

The tenants of the campus and the Heights Libraries signed a 15-month lease in October 2020. The Coventry PEACE Campus has to cover all costs of the building and pay escalating rent for the next decade. Current rent payments cover utility costs and minor maintenance.
Currently, the tenants of PEACE Campus are: Ensemble Theatre, ARTFUL, Lake Erie Ink, FutureHeights, Reaching Heights, Cleveland Heights Teachers Union, Building Bridges Arts Collaborative and Cleveland Arts Prizewinning artists Robin VanLear. The Campus is recruiting additional tenants and board members.
