Barbershop Shooting In Cleveland Heights: Man Shot 3 Times
A dispute between a customer and a barbershop employee appears to have gotten out of control Thursday morning.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β A local man is in the hospital after he was shot three times during an argument at Excel's Barbershop in Cleveland Heights on Thursday morning, police said. The shooting prompted a brief lockdown at Oxford School while police investigated the incident.
Officers were called to a barbershop on Noble Road for reports of shots fired at about 10:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man with two bullet wounds to the leg and a grazing wound on the chin inside.
Apparently, an argument had started between a barbershop employee and a customer. The argument escalated and the customer was shot. The barbershop employee is being detained as part of the investigation, police said.

Emergency services rushed the customer to a local hospital. His condition is not currently known at this time, Cleveland Heights Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg said.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released because police are still trying to notify his family of the incident.

Nearby Oxford School was placed on a temporary lockdown Thursday morning, after police learned of the shooting. However, once officers were able to determine that everyone in the shooting was still on the scene, the lockdown was lifted. There were no other safety concerns at the school.
Cleveland Heights Police said they will update the public with additional details once more is known about the incident.
