The Monkees Coming To Cleveland Heights
Two original members will be dusting off some old tunes and rocking through the night at a concert in June.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β Cain Park's 80th Anniversary Season will see The Monkees come to town on June 16. Original band members Michael Nesmith and Micky Dolenz will unite in their first-ever national tour as a duo.
"I love being on stage with Micky,β says Nesmith. βWeβve been collaborating for over 50 years, so itβs hard to believe itβs never been just the two of us. Iβm excited to dust off some tunes that I havenβt played for a long time too. These are going to be some fun shows.β
The band will play songs from throughout their discography, starting with the eponymous debut in 1966 and going through 2016's Good Times album.

"Right from the get-go, I admired Mike's songs. When we used to get together around the campfire to sing in the early days, we were always doing his songs,β says Dolenz. βWe always had such a great a vocal blend; he was the one who encouraged me to write songs of my own. I've always been a big fan and now we finally get to do the Mike & Micky show that we riffed on back when we were shooting The Monkees."
Tickets for the concert will go on sale Feb. 23 through Ticketmaster. Tickets will cost $75, $65 and $55 for reserved seats. Tickets for the lawn will cost $40.

Mike Tork, another original Monkee, said he doesn't want to take part in the tour. He said the recent Monkees-related projects have left him drained.
βMoving forward, I have blues projects that I want to give my attention to, hence Relax Your Mind. So, Iβm shifting gears for now, but I wish the boys well, and Iβve learned to never say never on things further down the line," he said in a statement.
Davy Jones, the other original Monkees member, died in 2012. He was 66.
