Nexus Academy of Cleveland hosts career day for its students

Nexus Academy of Cleveland today hosted a career day to expose its students to traditional and non-traditional career paths specific to the Cleveland market. The career fair was held at the school which is located just east of downtown.

This is the second year in which the school has invited professionals from organizations like NASA Glenn Research Center, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and a number of Cleveland area non-profits. Students had the opportunity to learn about a variety of professions from hair styling, law to auto racing.

According to Nexus Academy of Cleveland Principal Brittiany Sanford, this event is very popular for students to experience as they yearn to see themselves in the future. “Career day offers not only that opportunity, but also gives some students the opportunity to connect with successful adults for mentoring and internship opportunities,” Sanford said.
