Nexus Academy of Cleveland Recognizes 2016 Graduates

Blended High School Graduates plan for college and/or careers

Twenty-six Nexus Academy of Cleveland seniors were recently presented their high school diplomas during the blended high school’s fourth annual commencement ceremony at Cuyahoga Community College. Since the schools’ opening in August 2012, Nexus Academy has provided Cleveland area students a different approach to education where students follow an online curriculum in a brick and mortar setting.

"I am so proud of this class of scholars. An amazing number of our students have overcome a variety of challenges to make it to this point, a milestone they should be proud of,” said Nexus Academy of Cleveland School Leader Brittiany Sanford. “All of our graduates are looking forward to starting the next phase of their life. Whether it’s going onto college, joining the military or entering the workforce, I’m sure each of these students are well-prepared for the next chapter of their lives and they will make our school, their families and this community proud."

During the ceremony, Nexus Academy honored students for academic achievement, serving the community, demonstrating determination and maintaining the core values of the school.
