Nominations Needed For Cleveland Heights Community Improvement Awards

Know a neighbor that has put a ton of work into their home? Have YOU put a ton of work into your home? Maybe you deserve an award.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” The city of Cleveland Heights is looking for nominations for the Community Improvement Awards. The annual program honors residents that have committed themselves to an extraordinary renovation or upgrade of a local property.

Applications for the awards are due by Sept. 22. Awards are available in four categories: individual residence, multi-residential, business/commercial properties, and street award.

Residents nominating someone for the award will be asked to provide the dates when work was conducted, what type of improvements were done and how it impacted the city or neighborhood. An application form can be downloaded here.

Examples of winning projects have included things as simple as a new coat of paint on a historic home, landscaping projects, or restoration of a historic home. Residents can nominate themselves for the awards (so there's no need to pressure friends or family).
