Officials Seek to Identify Cleveland Heights Bank Robber: FBI

The man allegedly robbed a Huntington Bank branch on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” Federal officials are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in a Cleveland Heights bank robbery.

The robbery took place Monday at a Huntington Bank branch on Coventry Road near Euclid Heights Boulevard, reported, FBI officials told Patch. The suspect entered the bank around 3 p.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money, officials said. The teller handed the man some cash, and then he exited the bank and ran north into a parking lot. There was no indication that the man was armed.

The man may have fled the area in a dark Lincoln MKZ with tinted windows.

The suspect is described as a white man standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. Witnesses said the man appeared to be in his 20s.

Anyone with information that leads the man's identification and prosecution is asked to call the Cleveland Heights Police (216-291-5010) or the FBI (216-522-1400).
