Ohio Lawmakers Host Event On Domestic Violence Resources
An online conference will teach Ohioans about the resources available to domestic violence survivors.
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — State Rep. Janine Boyd and other Ohio lawmakers will host a virtual lunch and learn to discuss domestic violence services and resources available during the new coronavirus pandemic. The meeting will take place via Zoom on May 15 from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
“Even in a pandemic, victims of domestic violence are not safe at home. Home for victims is not synonymous with shelter. We must give victims effective strategies to find safe shelter—free of abuse and absent of disease,” said Boyd.
During the event, the following panelists will discuss current legislation, court operations, tools for advocates and resources for survivors:
