Pizza Man Killed In Cleveland Shooting

Cleveland police said a pizza delivery man from Cleveland Heights was shot and killed while driving on Durant Avenue.

CLEVELAND - A pizza delivery man was shot and killed while working on Sunday morning near Forest Hills park in Cleveland.

According to Cleveland police, callers reported that a man had been shot on Durant Avenue a little after midnight on Sunday. Officers arrived and found a 28-year-old man that had crashed his car into two parked vehicles.

Police gave the man first aid until EMS arrived. Personnel declared the man dead on the scene, police said.

Investigators believe the killed man was delivering pizza for Papa John's in Cleveland Heights. He was parked on Durant Avenue when a red car pulled up next to him, with two men inside the car. The men got out of the red car and began firing guns at the pizza man.

After the shooting, the men got back into the red car and drove off. The pizza man's car rolled forward and hit two parked cars.

No arrests have yet been made in this case, police said. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office reported to the scene to join the investigation. The incident remains under investigation, Cleveland police said.
