Produce Giveaway Set For April 21 In Cleveland Heights

Residents should go to Oxford Elementary to get free produce.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” Fresh produce from the Cleveland Food Bank will be distributed in Cleveland Heights in coming weeks. The food giveaway will be held at Oxford Elementary, the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools announced.

The event will be held at Oxford on Tuesday, April 21 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Previous food distribution events were held on April 7 and April 9, both at Heights-area schools. The district implemented a drive-up only policy to protect volunteers and residents.

Attendees should pull into the school parking lot and food will be loaded into their car. Persons who walk up to the schools will be accommodated but they will not go through the car line.

Gov. Mike DeWine ordered Ohio schools closed through at least May 1. Food distribution at schools has been allowed to continue to help the state's most vulnerable residents.
