Robbed At Gunpoint: Cleveland Heights Resident Victimized

Residents in Cleveland Heights and University Heights were robbed in their own driveways, at gunpoint, Tuesday night.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Police are investigating a pair of armed robberies in Cleveland Heights and University Heights, that officers believe may be connected. In both robberies, two armed men approached residents in their driveways and demanded their wallets and cell phones.

At 9 p.m., University Heights Police got a call from a resident 2400 block of Charney Rd. The woman told police she had been robbed at gunpoint.

Police say the woman was probably followed home, before the suspects robbed her in her driveway. The suspects demanded money and electronics and fled without hurting the woman. The suspects were reportedly driving an older maroon sedan.

Before the man could react, a second suspect approached the driver's side window, with a gun pointed at the man in the car, and said, "Let's not make this harder than it has to be."
