Robbery Suspect Hits 5 Banks In Northeast Ohio

Police are looking for a man that has hit banks all over the east side in the past month, including banks in Euclid and Wickliffe.

BEDFORD HEIGHTS, OH — Police and the FBI are looking for a man believed to have robbed five banks in the Northeast Ohio region over the past month. The man hit two banks on Monday, Chase Bank in Bedford Heights and Dollar Bank in Warrensville Heights.

The robbery at Chase, 5435 Northfield Rd., took place at about 1:15 p.m. The suspect came into the bank, gave a demand note to the teller and flashed a semi-automatic handgun. The suspect made off with cash, but the FBI is not yet disclosing how much he got away with.

Incredibly, the second robbery took place moments later, according to an FBI spokesperson. The suspect hit the Dollar Bank at 5180 Warrensville Center Rd. using similar tactics. Again he made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. (To stay up to date on local stories, subscribe to the Patch Cleveland Heights newsletter.
