Shaker Carjacking Ends In Cleveland Heights Crash

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — A stolen car was reportedly found in Cleveland Heights after it crashed in the city on Sunday evening. The vehicle was taken during an armed carjacking in Shaker Heights.

The woman was on Van Aken Boulevard when two men approached her, police told Fox 8. One of the men had a gun and the duo took the woman's car and keys.

The woman wasn't hurt during the incident. However, her car was found in Cleveland Heights that evening, after a crash.

One of the suspects, a juvenile, is in custody, according to Fox 8.

In what may be an unrelated incident, Cleveland Heights Police said that a woman reported an attempted carjacking on Mayfield Road, near the BP Gas Station.

The woman said two men charged her while she was at the gas station. She thinks they were trying to steal her car.

Police tracked the two men down, on Mayfield, and arrested the duo at about 8 p.m.
