CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” Someone fired a gun in the parking lot of the Civic during a concert on Wednesday night. Police shut the show down and no one was hurt.

The incident happened at 10 p.m. at the Mayfield Road concert hall. Several musical acts were scheduled to perform during the evening. A few hundred people were in attendance, Cleveland Heights Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg said.

Crowds were gathered in the east parking lot of the facility when shots rang out. The crowds began to scatter and police shut the event down to "avoid further problems," Mecklenburg said.
