In the Spotlight: New drawings by Erik Neff at Heights Arts

Opening reception on Friday, June 24, 6-9 p.m.

An exhibition of abstract drawings by Northeast Ohio artist Erik Neff opens Friday, June 24, with a public reception from 6 to 9 p.m. in the spotlight gallery space at Heights Arts, 2175 Lee Rd. in Cleveland Heights.

Working on a variety of surfaces such as plaster, wood, paper and slate, Erik creates a dialogue between the marks and shapes of an image through a "back and forth" process of scraping, gouging and applying pigments.

Erik has exhibited in galleries and museums in Cleveland, Youngstown, New York and Chicago, including MOCA Cleveland, SPACES, and Elizabeth Harris Gallery. His drawings will be on view through August 6. For more information, visit www.heightsarts.org or call 216-371-3457
