Teen Dies After Being Shot During Alleged Noble Road Car Theft
A 17-year-old was reportedly shot while trying to steal a car in Cleveland Heights. He died this week.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β A 17-year-old that was shot while allegedly trying to steal a car in Cleveland Heights has died.
The teenager died Wednesday, according to Fox 8. Police are still trying to locate one suspect who is at-large, Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg told Patch. The investigation into the incident continues.
The 17-year-old was shot on Dec. 16, while allegedly trying to steal a Ford Fiesta, Cleveland Heights police said. The car was parked at Gas USA, on Noble Road, when the driver went inside the station and left his car running.

The 17-year-old then got into the Ford's driver seat. When the Fiesta's driver came out of the store, and saw the teenager in his car, he pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the 17-year-old.
The teen started to drive away and the man fired his gun three times into the car, police said.

At least one bullet hit the teenager, Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg told Patch. The 17-year-old managed to drive the car to Monticello Boulevard, but hit two vehicles on the way.

The teenager was pulled out of the crashed Fiesta by three people that had been driving with him prior to the car theft, police said. Two people in that car, one adult and one person under 18, were detained by police.
