Teen Killed During Alleged Noble Road Car Theft Identified
The 17-year-old was in the hospital for 10 days before he passed away from a gunshot wound.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β The 17-year-old that was killed while allegedly trying to steal a car in Cleveland Heights has been identified.
On Friday morning, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office identified the teenager as Jeremiah Tolliver, 17, of Cleveland. He spent 10 days at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center before passing away from a gunshot wound, the CCMEO said.
Cleveland Heights Police Chief Annette Mecklenburg told Patch investigators are still searching for one suspect from the incident that claimed Tolliver's life. Police are still exploring what happened to Tolliver. The CCMEO said Tolliver's death is being investigated as a suspected homicide.

Police previously said Tolliver was shot on Dec. 16, while allegedly trying to steal a Ford Fiesta. The car was parked at Gas USA, on Noble Road, when the driver went inside the store and left his car running.

Tolliver allegedly got into the car and tried to drive it away. When the Fiesta's driver saw this happening he fired three shots at the teenager and hit him at least once.
When police release additional information on the status of the investigation, Patch will share it with the public.
