Top 40 Pop Act Coming To Cleveland Heights

Sofi Tukker will stop at The Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights on April 30.

From The Grog Shop: Native New Yorkers Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern are quite the duo. Time eventually brought the two together from polar ends and now they make music celebrating community, their unique personalities and their spiritual connection throughout all their music. One aspect of their show that differs from the rest is their fabricated hardcover book instrument that they created that triggers different noises all throughout the show.

Sofi Tukker has headlined shows throughout numerous countries and played festivals in Europe and North America. Within the past two years they released an album titled, β€œSoft Animals,” an ode to Brazilian culture showcasing many different and exquisite instrumental sounds. This album charted in over 20 countries and was a global success. Their single β€œDrinkee” was the first song the duo wrote together and has been streamed over 30 million times and charted in multiple countries, leading to a Grammy nomination in 2017. Currently, their song β€œBest Friend,” is top a nationwide top hit, charting number one on Billboard this past month. β€œBest Friend” was also used during the keynote IPhone X reveal which has now logged over 21 million hits on YouTube. Sofi Tukker will stop at The Grog Shop on April 30th and hit different stops including Festivals Okeechobee in Florida and Lollapalooza Brazil.
