Traffic Safety Award Given To Cleveland Heights Police
AAA gave the city its Platinum Award for Community Traffic Safety.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β Cleveland Heights Police have been awarded the Platinum Award from the American Automobile Association (AAA). The Platinum Award is the highest level of achievement a city can earn from AAA.
"I am very proud of the men and women serving the Cleveland Heights Police Department," said Annette Mecklenburg, Cleveland Heights Chief of Police in a statement. "It is great to see that their hard work to keep the people living or visiting our city safe and secure is being nationally recognized. It is truly an honor to receive the 2017 Platinum Community Traffic Safety Award."
AAA presents the Community Traffic Safety Award each year to communities that are focusing on improving local traffic safety.

The criteria for selecting award winners includes programs and projects to address local traffic safety issues and education and enforcement. AAA also looks at how the city protects travelers on bicycles, pedestrians, child passenger safety, motorcycle safety and more.
