Vacant Cleveland Heights Council Seat Up For Grabs
Cheryl Stephens joined Cuyahoga County Council, leaving her municipal seat vacant. Applications for her position are now open.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β Former mayor and city councilwoman Cheryl Stephens is now a member of the Cuyahoga County Council, leaving her seat in Cleveland Heights vacant.
"We are anticipating interest from our Cleveland Heights residents who want to serve our community," said current Cleveland Heights Mayor Carol Roe.
Applications for the open seat are due by January 15, 2019. Resumes and other information can be uploaded on the city's website.

Stephens defeated incumbent County Councilman Michael Houser in the primaries and then cruised to victory in November. She was sworn in and took her seat on her new council on Tuesday.
Stephens now serves as the District 10 representative on Cuyahoga County Council. Her district encompasses Cleveland Heights, East Cleveland, Brathenahl, and parts of Cleveland.
