Voodoo Brewery Opens Saturday In Cleveland Heights

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The much-anticipated opening of Voodoo Brewery's Cleveland Heights location will happen Saturday morning. The bar and restaurant will begin welcoming customers at 11 a.m.

The Cleveland Heights location will be in the Cedar-Lee district, in the former dry cleaning business near the Wine Spot and Mitchell's Chocolates. Jake Voelker, Voodoo's chief operating officer, said the process to open a Northeast Ohio location began nearly 18 months ago.

Northeast Ohio customers would visit Voodoo's primary location in Meadville, Pennsylvania and then ask management when they were opening a site in the Buckeye State. After repeated inquiries, Voelker and his team began considering expansion.

"There's an amazing beer community [in Northeast Ohio]," Voelker told Patch in July. "This is something we've been working on for a long time."

On Saturday, Voelker's team will see their work come to fruition.

There won't be any brewing at the Lee Road location, but customers will be able to enjoy a full line of Voodoo beers and a few pub exclusives. The menu will offer "eclectic Voodoo fare" and the atmosphere will be comfortable and relaxed.
