Wellness Fair Comes To Cleveland Heights April 28

Cuyahoga County Councilman Michael Houser is bringing a unique event to the Cleveland Heights Community Center.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — For the first time, Cleveland Heights will play host to the 2018 Wellness Fair, a new event for District 10 of Cuyahoga County. The free event will feature an array of events for attendees of all ages, including health screenings, yoga sessions and self-defense classes.

“I am honored to host the First Annual Health Fair for District 10 because I believe that a healthy lifestyle is key to personal well-being and a vibrant community. I look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come,” states County Councilman Michael J. Houser, who is hosting the event.

The event will be held April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cleveland Heights Community Center, One Monticello Boulevard. Several local organizations are taking part in the event.

The Fresh Fix of Cleveland Heights will offer a free, healthy food sampling. The Metro Health System will do an opioid awareness presentation and then free health screenings. The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department will then teach self-defense.

There will also be a kid's section of the event, which will feature face painting, a book giveaway and a "dance" party.
