• Panthers open tourney with third win over Jets (weirtondailytimes.com) — Connorville fans saw Buckeye Local’s softball team capture the Division V East 1 sectional title at home with an 8–6 win over Union Local, their third victory over the Jets this season. Pitcher Karlie Lander led the way with three hits and the game-winning two-run single in the sixth, sending the Panthers on to face Tusky Valley next.
