She’s deeply involved in county youth leadership, works in Roscoe Village, and plans to return after college to keep giving back to Coshocton’s close-knit community.

Dining with Diabetes in Coshocton: four cooking classes July 9–30, register by July 2 (yourohionews.com) — If you or a loved one in Coshocton are managing diabetes, a four-part “Dining with Diabetes” cooking and nutrition series runs Thursday evenings July 9–30. Sessions at Coshocton Regional Medical Center and Three Rivers Fire Station include demos, tastings, and expert guidance, with registration due by July 2.

3. Faith's Little Library opens at Coshocton County Justice Center child custody zone (yourohionews.com) — Families using the Coshocton County Justice Center’s child custody zone now have a new perk: Faith’s Little Library, stocked with free books and coloring supplies for kids to enjoy or swap. Built as Eagle Scout candidate Faith Udischas’ service project, the mini-library adds a welcoming, kid-friendly touch to an otherwise stressful setting for local families.

4. New Concord native tapped as East Central Ohio director for Red Cross (newarkadvocate.com) — Coshocton County residents will now be served by a new East Central Ohio Red Cross executive director, Tim Callahan, who steps in as longtime leader Rod Cook retires May 22. Callahan, a New Concord native with more than 20 years of nonprofit experience, says he’s focused on strong local partnerships and keeping the chapter ready to respond when communities are most vulnerable.

5. Genesis fills critical mental health care gap with new youth unit (coshoctontribune.com) — Families in Coshocton County now have access to a new 14-day Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit in Zanesville, designed for kids 10 to 17 facing serious mental or emotional challenges. The Genesis unit, funded with ARPA dollars, offers therapy, schooling support, and recreation, and is structured so cost or lack of insurance won’t block Coshocton youth from getting care.
