Bid Farewell to Plaza Cinemas at Chapel Hill

Plaza Cinemas at Chapel Hill will close on Jan. 3, reports the Akron Beacon Journal. 

The eight-screen multiplex will be shuttered after 25 years in business.

According to the Akron Beacon Journal, "Cleveland Cinemas has been operating the theater under a management agreement with Plaza at Chapel Hill owner Visconsi Cos. Ltd., and Visconsi wants to find another use for the property."

Plans for the property, located off Howe Avenue within The Plaza at Chapel Hill shopping center, remain uncertain.
