Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board (Summit DD) invites the community to its Dream Out Loud Studio art exhibition at the Montrose Mustard Seed Market & Café, 3885 West Market Street in Akron, beginning January 6, 2015. The exhibition runs through May 3rd, with an artists’ reception on March 26, 2015 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Summit DD’s Dream Out Loud Studio is an art studio where fine artists with developmental disabilities have the opportunity to hone creative skills, enjoy personal expression, gain independence, and flourish both as artists and valuable members of the community.
“We are excited to partner with this great, local business to showcase the artists’ work,” Summit DD’s Business Innovations Manager, Jacquie Owens said. “We appreciate their support and look forward to sharing the pieces with the community.”

The March 26th reception will be held in celebration of March Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, where the community will have the opportunity to meet some of the artists behind the work. Artwork ranges from pieces by individual Summit DD artists to collaborative pieces.
Additionally, the Mustard Seed has graciously offered to donate all proceeds back to Dream Out Loud Studio in support of the program. “We support Dream Out Loud Studio and its efforts, “ explained Gabriel Riazi, Community Wellness Coordinator for Mustard Seed Market. “And we want to give back.”
