2. Dayton man sentenced in 2025 fatal shooting, robbery (dayton247now.com) — A Dayton man has been sentenced to at least 25 years in prison for a 2025 fatal shooting and robbery at Sugar's Lounge on North Main Street. Prosecutors say security video and witnesses tied him to the killing, and he must also pay restitution for funeral and burial costs.
3. 'Evicting the American Dream' wins documentary film award (pcusa.org) — A nationally recognized documentary on eviction and housing injustice was filmed mostly in Dayton and co-produced by a Sinclair Community College professor emeritus and a Dayton Foundation fellow.
