Growers say they're applying far more fungicides and sometimes picking early to keep apples and other produce market-ready despite the soggy fields. 
• $1 million bond set for man accused of ramming cruiser, undercover vehicles at Kettering gas station (whio.com) — A Dayton police tip about a stolen SUV led Kettering officers to a BP station, where they say 22-year-old Angelo Locurto rammed a cruiser and two undercover vehicles before being arrested. He's now held in Montgomery County Jail on multiple felony charges, with bond set at $1 million and another court appearance expected later this week.
• How Ohio lawmakers are looking into juvenile justice concerns (nbc4i.com) — Ohio lawmakers are scrutinizing how delinquent youth are placed in group homes and foster care, a system that heavily affects the Dayton area, which hosts about 80 juvenile group homes. Testimony, including from Dayton's police chief, describes rising calls to youth facilities, strained children's services, and concerns that diverted youth are being re-traumatized instead of rehabilitated.
